This past week, I had several people inquire about booking Christmas pictures this weekend. However, no one officially booked. “Officially booked” means that the client has paid the non-refundable retainer and/or the full costs of the mini session and signed my contract(s).
Please understand that I am extremely busy and my time is very valuable. That is why I require a signed contract and payment upfront to official book you. I am too busy to risk being stood up.
I am a FT RN and I have been doing portraits as well as my vendor events. For the past several months, I have been working 12-16 hours a day , every day, and have not had any personal time or a full day off in many many months.
I am taking vacation days today and Monday from my RN gig. Since no one has officially booked and the booking I did have had to be rescheduled , I have decided to take some desperately needed personal time. I will not be accepting any portrait or commission appointments this weekend.
Moving forward, I will be hitting the road to start shooting again. I will be in Nola for a bit this weekend and will also be focusing on doing local Acadiana shots. My goal is to offer some amazing local prints for my Big Easel gig in March. As I can, I will also continue to do portraits, including my own daughters College graduation pics 🙂
