If someone gives you an airplane, it does not automatically make you a pilot.
If someone gives you a commercial stove, it does not automatically make you a chef.
IF SOMEONE IS GIFTED A “GOOD CAMERA” FOR CHRISTMAS, IT DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY MAKE THEM A PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER.
Being a pro is much more then pushing a button–much much much more. Many people do not realize this and they quickly drop the idea of being a pro when they realize how much work and difficulty it actually is. As a matter of fact, most of the cameras that are gifted are crop sensored cameras that are not even technically considered to be professional cameras.
Lots of people got “good cameras” yesterday. They are going to be anxious to start charging people to make money now
Please be cautious of any low priced offers for photography sessions. Remember, you get what you pay for
If you have been gifted a camera and aware of the realities, then please have fun! Go out and enjoy it and have a blast with it!!
