I had the honor of doing my nephews Senior Portraits. This was a “thing” for me.
For those of you that don’t know me, I was raised by my step father, who I considered to be my real father. He had a love for photography and learned it while he was in the Army. Even though, he was not technically my dad, I still got his love of photography.
Luke, my nephew, was my dad s grandson. Unfortunately, my dad passed before Luke came along so Luke never knew him.
It turns out that Luke is also into photography and he and I connect through it. I felt my dad smiling down on us, as I was doing his shoot. I sure hope I made him proud with Luke s pics.
I am so beyond proud of Luke. He s such an amazing kid. Perfect GPA, has a job, plays in the band and scored a 34 on his ACT. He will be going into chemical engineering.
Yes, before anyone asks, Luke did get it all from me, his favorite aunt–despite what my brother or Luke’s mom may tell you 🙂
