Earlier this month, I entered my first Art Gallery Photography Contest. I was so intimidated and nervous about it.

Yesterday afternoon, the awards reception was held. When I walked in and saw all the other amazing entries, I turned to my friend and told her there was no way that I was winning anything.

I was so wrong. I won First Place in the Color category and a Best of Show for my “Dampened Spirits”. Also, I won an Award of Merit for my “Praying Angel”. I am in shock, am humbled and honored!
