Macro photography was not something that I expected to have much interest in. So, I was very surprised to find out that I actually do dig it.
While taking my NYIP course, I had to complete a macro assignment. I didn’t have a macro lens so I rented the Canon macro 100 mm F.8 L. I fell in love with it and had so much fun shooting bugs! I actually ended up making an A + on my assignment.

Ever since then, I wanted to own that lens. I had to put it on the back burner though because I needed other basic L lenses first.
Finally, after a 2 year wait, I was able to get it!
It was just delivered today and I swear, I feel like a kid on Christmas morning!
Macro photography can be tricky. This evening, I started brushing up on my studies on it. I also came across this great article with excellent tips. I thought that I would share it, in case any of you have any interest. https://petapixel.com/2017/10/02/10-macro-photo-tips-beginners/
I hope it can be useful!
Peace!
