This morning, I woke up feeling like I was hit by a truck–but in a good way :).
Fest Acadiens was both my very first ever 3 day event AND the biggest festival that I ve done thus far. There was a lot of things that I learned in regards to what I do well and what I need improvements on.
This Fest has always been a favorite of mine. I feel so honored to be able to be a part of it, even though it was hard to not be able to be in the crowd dancing up a storm with the best of them this time!
I met so many amazing people- both visitors and fellow guild members and/or other artists. I am so grateful to my fellow artists that supported me and gave me advise/suggestions.
Even though I did make a profit, I did not do as well financially as I hoped. However, the experience and the things that I have learned are invaluable and worth so much more than a one time super successful event!
I am so grateful to have such a great group of fellow artists to support and help me. I have taken every single bit of advise given to me seriously and will be moving forward with learning how to apply them. It doesn’t matter how far you have come in life, you always need to stay humble and accept constructive criticism from others. If you are not able to do that, you will never grow and improve!
To everyone that purchased from me–THANK YOU! I m even more grateful for your support. Many of you have been following me from the start of this crazy unexpected photography journey and even recognized my talent before I even did.
One thing I learned, early on, about vending is that there is only one thing that stays consistent. My images/products that I expect to sale never do, while the one(s) I never expect become my most sold item(s). This time, my most sold was my “Tower of Cracklins”. As a matter of fact, one copy is going to Memphis and another to Philadelphia and I couldn’t be more tickled pink!

Today, after I rest up some, I will need to unpack so I can repack and reorganize to prepare for The Big Easel this weekend! No rest for the wicked right?

In closing, I also want to thank my friends Larry Broussard, Maria Olivier and her daughter Sophia again At this time, I am not able to significantly pay anyone to work for me. Maria and Sophie graciously came to help relieve me so I could have a break on Sun. Larry helped me set up, take down and also relieved me on Sat. I would have not been able to make it without them! I m blessed to have such amazing friends too!
Much love, appreciation, prayers and peace to you all!
See you on the next round!
